What each login is for

First-time login
- Set your Client Portal password: go to your Portal login page and click Forgot Password to create/reset it.
- One-click into cPanel: in the Portal, open Services → My Services → [Your Hosting] → Login to cPanel.
- (Optional) Bookmark your direct cPanel URL for later.
Where to log in
- Client Portal (Billing/Support):
https://secure.gaugehosting.com/clientarea.php - cPanel (Hosting): e.g.
https://yourdomain.com:2083orhttps://server.yourhost.com/cpanel.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (recommended)
Client Portal: Account/Profile → Security/Two-Factor.
cPanel: Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
Use single sign-on (SSO) from the Portal
From the Portal service page, click Login to cPanel. If a direct cPanel password hasn’t been set or is forgotten, SSO still works.
Troubleshoot common login issues
Forgot password? Use Forgot Password on the Portal. For cPanel, try Portal SSO first; if needed, reset the cPanel password via the service page.
2FA device changed? Open a ticket to verify identity and re-sync or disable temporarily.- SSO button not working? Clear cookies, try another browser, or use the Portal’s “Login to cPanel” from the product page instead of bookmarks.
