Overview

Learn how to set up custom domain email addresses, assign mailbox storage quotas, access webmail, and retrieve secure connection settings for mobile and desktop mail apps.

Prerequisites

  • An active web hosting package with a domain added to your account.
  • Login credentials for your hosting management control panel.

Step 1: Navigate to Email Addresses

  1. Log in to your account dashboard at GaugeHosting.com and access your hosting control panel.
  2. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Email addresses (located under the Configuration section).
  3. Click the Add email address button in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Configure Your New Mailbox

  1. Email address: Enter your desired mailbox prefix (e.g., info, sales, or your name) in the local part field, then select your domain from the drop-down menu.
  2. Target / Action: Ensure Create mailbox for this email address is selected.
  3. Password: Enter a strong password or click the Generate password icon to create one automatically.
  4. Mailbox Quota: Specify the storage limit for this mailbox in megabytes (e.g., 1024 for 1 GB), or leave it set to your package default.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page to activate your new address.

Step 3: Access Webmail

You can send and receive email directly in your web browser using the integrated webmail interface.

  1. Navigate to https://mail.yourdomain.com in your browser.
  2. Enter your full email address (e.g., name@yourdomain.com) as the username.
  3. Enter the mailbox password created in Step 2 and click Login.
